shoe obsesh

So, if you haven't noticed from my blog title - the "sole" is indeed referring to shoes. I have a love, make that obsession for shoes. It seems as though whenever I go to the store I gravitate right to the shoe section and set my eyes on the beautiful shoes. I usually do not wear flats, I owned one pair and I wore them once and never again! But I figure now that I am going to be entering the "real world" I should at least attempt them. I don't think it's realistic to be teaching in 5 inch heels *sigh*. Therefore, as a Christmas present I received my very first pair of Tory Burch Reva Flats. Yes, you may be gasping that I JUST finally got a pair of these beloved flats - but like I said, flats and I were not friends. Long story short, I fell in love with these shoes.

You can find them at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Saks, ect.

So, if you already do not own these shoes, trust me they are worth the investment! Not only are the super cute, and stylish, they are comfy too!

about me

My name is Katy, I am a twenty something from the great state of New Jersey. I am a proud sister of Zeta Tau Alpha, and previously was the president. Joining a sorority was the best decision I ever made, and I thank God everyday for letting me be a part of something so amazing! I am your typical girly girl with a love for all things pink. Although I am from New Jersey, and wouldn't trade that for the world - most people tell me I belong in the South. I have a love for all things preppy, dream about shooting a gun, die hard conservative and cannot leave the house without big hair.

I am a future teacher, and have a passion for politics. I have a love for shopping, especially shoes and bags. My mother doesn't trust me to be left alone in either sections while I am shopping because I am known to do damage. I die over shoes, and the fabulousness of them. I love to laugh, and think laughing is essential to life. I try my best to always smile, even when it seems to be pouring on me. I live for my friends and my family. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. I have a strong faith, and believe that everything happens for a reason, because God has a master plan for all of us. I am newly in my twenties, and getting ready to graduate college and make my way to the "real world". Follow along on my journey which always has unexpected twists and turns, but I would not trade it for the world!

New Year, New Me

It's really hard to believe that 2011 is here. I remember being in 6th grade and sitting around with my friends pondering life, and saying "Oh in 2007 we will graduate high school and wow in 2011 we will be graduating college". I NEVER thought I'd actually see the day of 2011. It seemed so far away. And as I came to college, it seemed as though the 4 years would take a lifetime to pass by. But, I was very wrong. Seems like just yesterday I was moving into the dorms, meeting new friends, rushing ZTA and so on. It's crazy how when you look back how much time has passed and how much time has changed us (hopefully for the better).

I feel as though I have been able to grow a lot through college experiencing friendships that didn't make it, the heartbreak I was sure had ended my world, family issues, the responsibility of being president of my sorority, but overall becoming the 21 year old that I am today.

I have great hope for 2011, and really want to make this year about me. 2010 was consumed by school and the sorority. I wouldn't trade that year for anything, but for a year I was unable to make myself a priority - my life was based upon keeping 50 girls happy, and keep the drama to a minimum. So, my promise to myself is to make 2011 about me.

I am going to worry about myself, have fun, and enjoy my last months with my best friends in college! I want to get myself into a routine going to the gym, and doing things that benefit me! Call me selfish - but sometimes we all need a little "me" time!

I look forward to sharing my new year which as my life always is, should be filled with some pretty comical stuff!
